Super Jologs, Corny and Stupid at the Tender Age of 12

Hobbies of girls back then in the 90's:

1) Playing barbie

2) Playing pretend cooking using paso and leaves (wala akong Play Doh! at plastic eggs!)

3) Chinese garter, luksong tinik, 10-20, piko, patintero, pick-up sticks, tagu-taguan, mahuli-taya, Pepsi Seven-Up, Shampoo-shampoo, Monkey-monkey, agawan base

4) Collecting stationery and trading with your fellow stationery collectors (Sanrio stationery are the best items)

5) Pretending to be Sailormoon, or Yellow/Pink Ranger

6) Experimenting how to fly, or how to do the Mary Poppins Umbrella-fly

7) Collecting those kisses and trying to get them pregnant by placing them in your pencil case w/ cotton. Paniwalang-paniwala naman daw ako na nanganganak mga hinayupak na bagay na 'yan

8) Collecting songbooks and rewriting your fave songs in your 'song notebook'. Masipag ang mga batang babae mag-sulat nuon kasi, unconsciously, may pagandahan-tayo-ng-handwriting contest.

9) Pogs, text (as in teks, yung mga maliliit na cards), trumpo, football na parang baseball, touch ball, makipag-away sa mga bata sa kabilang neighborhood (dahils jologs ako at batang kalye ako and I'm friends with da boyz from da hood) Infairness, mabait sila. Mabait sila sa akin kasi malakas ako sumipa sa larong football, at magaling ako sumalo ng bola.

10) Last but not least, AUTOGRAPH/SLUMBOOK!! I think all the girls my batch all went through the gaga-phase of owning an autograph/ slumbook and proudly filling it out! Autograph is a necessity back then. It's a bible, a concrete object marking your social status in elementary. Loser ka lang naman kung hindi mag-sulat ang mga ~cool people~ sa autograph mo
